Tsingy de Bemaraha, Nature Conservancy Park

MADAGASCAR

Tsingy de Bemaraha Strict Nature Reserve, with an area of about 152 sq km, is known for its impressive 'tsingy' peaks, which are very sharply edged, very high towers of limestone that jut into the sky, a 'forest' of limestone needles and the spectacular canyon of the Manambolo river. The undisturbed forests, lakes and mangrove swamps are the home of rare and endangered lemurs and birds.
